Julia Dordoni Live Art

My artistic career began in 2000 as a certified K-12 art teacher in Rochester, New York. In 2006, I became a full-time commission painter. Soon after, I was invited to be the featured wedding painter at the Four Seasons Resort on Maui, and also signed a contract as the resident artist at the Fairmont Kea Lani.  As beautiful as the Hawaiian islands are, after a few years, I missed the crisp Colorado mountain air. Back in the Rockies, I hardly go a day without riding the mountain bike or skiing! When not being a mom, and homeschooling my daughter, I put all of my creative energy toward my career as a live event painter, specializing in wedding portraits. I couldn’t be happier with the niche I have fallen upon while commemorating such magical moments in time! Being a wedding artist is my true calling, and am sure I will do this for the rest of my life. I still enjoy painting landscapes, animal portraits, and street scenes when I am not painting weddings. All of my paintings exude an animated, impressionistic style that matches the vibrational energy I feel from the environment. I am inspired most by the dynamics of mother nature and the love amongst its creatures.
