This Image's Creation Story:
Rocky Mountain National Park 11,040 ft The Gable is an inspiring rock formation that towers over Fern Lake in the heart of the park, but due to difficult access, it sees few visitors. It has five distinct high points, with only one, the lowest, being visible from the lake. I had a beautiful hike through deep, but consolidated snow from the turn-off to Sprague Lake, straight toward the Gable on this February night. The eastern clouds blocked sunhit and alpenglow on the mountains, but created beautiful colors during this predawn "Blue Hour."
This image is a 8x14 & 12x22 Matted Print and can be purchased as is, or framed with a handmade frame created by the Artist from reclaimed wood.
